Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson and left-hander Chris Sale will join Ronald Acuña Jr. at the All-Star Game on home field. Sale earns his ninth All-Star selection, while Olson gets his third, his second as a member of the Braves.

The Braves have four starting pitchers on the 60-day IL, with co-aces Sale and Spencer Schwellenbach (elbow fracture) both transferred from the 15-day IL last week. Schwellenbach is out until at least early September and possibly for the rest of the season.

Two other Atlanta Braves players will join Ronald Acuña Jr. at the MLB All-Star Game next week. First baseman Matt Olson has been named as National League reserve infielder for the game, and Chris Sale has joined the list of starting pitchers, though he will be unable to play in the game due to an injury.
