PHILADELPHIA -- As the Philadelphia 76ers now move forward with their season, one has to wonder about what comes next for Joel Embiid. The big fella has not played since Jan. 5 due to a left foot sprain that he suffered before a Christmas Day win over the Boston Celtics.

Joel Embiid totaled 28 points and 12 rebounds in three quarters as the Philadelphia 76ers overcame an extremely early 11-point deficit and rolled to a 123-94 victory over the short-handed Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night in New York.

The championship-hopeful 76ers are still only 14-19, but they improved to 7-3 in the games in which Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are all active. Maxey had 18 points and seven assists Saturday, while George added 17 points and six assists.
