When you enable encryption for a drive manually, you have a few options for setting up BitLocker, and one that you should pay attention to is the option to automatically unlock the drive on this PC.

If you have one of the above operating systems, it's fairly straightforward to enable BitLocker. Simply type "Manage BitLocker" into the Search Menu, and follow the prompts.

I tried enabling hidden Admin account on Win10 and re-grabbing ownership, but it doesn't let me. Sigh... I'm almost ready to throw my hands and say "fuck hardware bitlocker" and just go with software.
