Approximately 40 historic plaques were ripped out of the sidewalk in an Oakland neighborhood known for its blues scene.
More than 40 plaques have been stolen from “The Music They Played on 7th Street Oakland” Walk of Fame in West Oakland.

The West Coast Blues Society is addressing the theft of 40 plaques from Oakland's Walk of Fame, with efforts to raise $150,000 for replacements.
