Feb. 5—A construction worker died Wednesday afternoon after an 8-foot trench collapsed at a southwest Houston Apartment Complex, according to a spokesperson for the Houston Fire Department.

One person was injured Tuesday afternoon after a scaffolding collapsed in downtown Houston, the Houston Fire Department said.
