Apple is now multiple generations into its Apple Silicon-based M-series Macs, but how you take a screenshot remains the same.

Screenshots are saved to your Desktop by default ... click Capture (if you are using macOS Mojave or later). There are two ways to do this. You could press Command + Shift + 5 and choose Capture ...

If you are using Desktop Stacks (which is a feature that was introduced in macOS Mojave) you can organise your Desktop so that all your screenshots are neatly tidied away into a folder.
