Marvel Studios has chosen to delay its next two high-stakes Avengers movies by seven months apiece. Avengers: Doomsday moves from May 1 to December 18, 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars shifts from May 27, 2027 to December 17 of that year.

With the changes, 2026 will only see two entries to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the Sony-Marvel sequel to 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, currently set for release on 31 July 2026, although this can still change in the coming months.

Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars' have both been hit with massive delays.
