Police say it happened just before 3 p.m. at East 167th Street and Grand Concourse. Two 11-year-old girls were crossing the street when an MTA bus driven by a 57-year-old operator collided with them.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested after police said he showed up to school with stolen MTA equipment in his bookbag. The NYPD said the teen is facing multiple charges, including two counts of burglary.
