Minnesota Twins third baseman Royce Lewis has left their Grapefruit League game against Boston with a leg injury.

Eleven days before the Twins begin the regular season, they learned they will likely have to play without Royce Lewis. Lewis exited Sunday’s spring training game because of a left hamstring strain. He pulled up early after grounding out to third base in the second inning,

Lewis worked this offseason with Dr. Jennifer Reiner-Marcello, a reconditioning and performance therapist who formerly worked for the Twins. When he arrived at spring training, he said he was feeling loose, fast, elusive, athletic and bouncy — all the things he wanted to feel.
