The Seattle Mariners are nearing the end of a rough road trip. Entering Tuesday, the Mariners are 2-5 and have lost two series against the Baltimore Orioles and New York Mets. Seattle also dropped the first of a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies — a 12-7 loss.

The Seattle Mariners received a plethora of injury updates on Tuesday, including news on starting pitcher Bryce Miller.

Although he is off to a hot start over his first 13 games with Seattle, Naylor’s momentum may be briefly halted. During Thursday’s game against the White Sox, Naylor was removed in the top of the fourth inning and replaced by teammate Donovan Solano.

Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez left the game with a thumb injury after a three-hit night in New York’s 7-3 win over the Mariners.

Alvarez suffered the injury during the Mets’ win over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday night in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, during MLB’s Little League Classic. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but there is some initial concern Alvarez could be out for the rest of the season.
