Joe Perry, the group’s founding lead guitarist and backup vocalist, recently visited former bandmate Steven Tyler. The musicians met in mid-July to chat about the possibility of picking off where they left off before cancelling their “Peace Out” farewell tour in August 2024 – and hard truths were met.

Iconic metal band Megadeth will be calling it quits next year. Announced today, the band will release their final album and embark on a farewell tour in 2026. Megadeth vocalist Dave Mustaine will also unveil a memoir next year.
