A new lawsuit accuses New Orleans city officials and city contractors of failing to stop the New Year’s Day truck attack on Bourbon Street.

A cohort of 21 survivors and relatives of victims killed in the New Year’s Day truck attack is suing city officials, accusing them of failing to take the appropriate safety precautions before the incident, despite knowing the French Quarter was vulnerable to an attack for nearly a decade.

Fewer fans appeared to attend the postponed Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame and Georgia on Thursday in light of the terror attack in New Orleans. The Sugar Bowl was postponed as a result of the attack in the French Quarter on Wednesday morning.
