Winds gusting up to 70 mph Thursday afternoon could be a “game-changer” for firefighting efforts if there isn’t rain as well, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff.
The Camp House and Jenkins Creek Fires, now being fought as one in the “Brimson Complex”, continue to rage on uncontained in Northern Minnesota.
The Brimson Complex Fires have so far burned more acreage than the Greenwood Fire (2021), but are nowhere near the acreage of the Pagami Creek Fire (2011).

The fire, which started north of the town of Brimson near the Superior National Forest, has already blackened 750 acres and is growing.
