Melissa Rivers grabbed her late mother Joan Rivers's Emmy Award before evacuating her home amid the California wildfires. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Melissa confirmed that she had been safely evacuated from her Los Angeles property but the home itself had been "tragically destroyed".

The Emmy Award won by Joan Rivers in 1990 for her daytime talk show is one of the few things grabbed by her daughter Melissa Rivers as she fled her Pacific Palisades home before it fell victim to the Los Angeles fires.
