Imprisoned former Ald. Edward Burke has become the latest Chicago Democrat to seek clemency from someone who, at first blush, would seem like an unlikely suitor: Republican President Donald Trump.

Family members identify the man as James Stroud. He died after Chicago police say he was shot while sitting in his car near 90th and Loomis streets in the Brainerd neighborhood just after 10 a.m.
