Weinstein's attorney said outside the courthouse that his client was eager to get things moving and not interested in a plea deal

A jury in June convicted the disgraced movie mogul of sexually assaulting one woman, acquitted him of assaulting another, but could not reach a verdict in a third case. The judge wants another retrial to be held this year.

"He doesn't want the word rape associated with him," Attorney Arthur Aidala said when asked if Weinstein would take a plea deal.
