The Rangers today announced that the club has acquired RHP Merrill Kelly from Arizona in exchange for minor league LHP Mitch Bratt, LHP Kohl Drake, and RHP David Hagaman. To make room for Kelly on the 40-man roster, INF Blaine Crim has been designated for assignment.
The club made a late push Thursday ahead of the trade deadline, acquiring three pitchers by the 5 p.m. cutoff time.
