At least 70 Palestinians were killed in airstrikes across Gaza on Thursday, after Israel resumed its bombing campaign, a Gaza health official said.

Israeli airstrikes overnight into Thursday struck several homes in the Gaza Strip and killed at least 85 Palestinians, according to local health officials. Among those pulled alive from the rubble was a month-old baby girl, but her parents and brother were killed.

Gaza’s Health Ministry does not distinguish between civilians and combatants. Experts say the official death toll is probably an undercount.
