Tulane running back Makhi Hughes, who rushed for 1,401 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns this season, has entered the transfer portal, sources told ESPN.

As reported by 247Sports' Matt Zenitz, Tulane Green Wave running back Makhi Hughes plans to transfer for next season. The redshirt sophomore has enjoyed two outstanding seasons with the Green Wave. In 2023, he rushed for 1,378 yards and scored seven touchdowns, ranking him No. 9 in the nation.

Tennessee redshirt senior quarterback Gaston Moore entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to 247Sports. The 6-foot-2, 212-pound quarterback appeared in six games for the Vols in 2024. He completed 16-of-27 passing attempts for 201 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

A handful on Tennessee football players entered the transfer portal following Christmas Day. After four seasons at Tennessee, quarterback Gaston Moore is looking for a new home. Moore followed Josh Heupel from UCF and served as the backup quarterback in 2024.
