Despite its leading five nominations, 'Wicked' went home empty-handed as 'Only Murders in the Building' was a surprise comedy series winner.

Jane Fonda gave an impassioned speech at the SAG Awards, where she was honored with the life achievement award for her six decades of acting and activism. "This means the world to me," Fonda, 87, said. "And your enthusiasm makes it seem less like a late twilight of my life and more like a 'Go, girl. Kick ass,' which is good because I'm not done."

A halo of side-swept bangs, the white shade of her Dior gown and an absence of makeup gave the actress, a star of “The Last Showgirl,” an air of purity on the carpet. A single caped sleeve, which evoked an angel’s wing, was another heavenly detail.

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards is underway at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and Exposition Hall.
