Around 6 a.m., a CSX train hit the car near the intersection of Sterling Street and Depot Square, police said.

CLINTON — The driver and the passenger of car that were involved in a crash with a train early Friday escaped with minor injuries, according to the Clinton Fire Department. The collision happened around 6:15 a.m. Friday on tracks that cross Sterling Street at Depot Square.

The collision happened at the railroad crossing on Sterling Street in Clinton before 7:00 a.m., a member of the Clinton Fire Department told Boston 25 News.
