The rally at Daley Plaza started at noon with a moment of silence for the shootings in Minnesota before moving into the streets of downtown Chicago.

A huge and peaceful crowed turned out for the "No Kings" rally, shutting down much of the Loop as part of a nationwide protest movement to denounce the Trump administration.

In Chicago it was a largely peaceful political protest today as tens of thousands of people converged on the Loop--and in many suburban locations-- to condemn the policies of the Trump administration.

As the long parade of protesters approached Michigan Avenue and filed past Trump Tower along the Chicago River, thousands lifted their middle fingers to the sky and screamed “F— Trump!” and “Shame! Shame!

City officials confirmed reports that President Trump is sending ICE tactical teams to Chicago, the same move that sparked massive protests in Los Angeles.

The forecast is sunny for Pope Leo's Chicago event on June 14. Meanwhile, Trump's military parade in D.C. is looking much wetter.

Records obtained by the Sun-Times show the police have handed over documents that include the names, addresses and countries of origin of people targeted by federal immigration authorities.
