Jul 27, 2015 · When I upgrade a preinstalled (OEM) or retail version of Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 license to Windows 10, does that license remain OEM or become a retail license? If you upgrade from a OEM or retail version of Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 to the free Windows 10 upgrade this summer, the license is consumed into it.

My old computer says "Windows is activated with a digital license" and my new computer says "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account." I used Windows' built in tools to wipe the old computer and reinstall windows to prepare it for sale.

Nov 8, 2024 · Well, if you have a version that comes with a free update of Windows 10, you can upgrade to Windows 11, but it must meet the specifications. This can only be done on the same hardware on the new computer. You cannot use the license from the old computer to activate it, in case you I would have to buy it. Hope this helps.

Aug 7, 2015 · Windows 10 has a in-built Reader app for pdf files. You can right click the pdf file and click Open with and select Reader app to open with. If it does not work, you may want to make Reader app a default to open pdf files each time you double click on pdf files to open.
