May 22, 2013 · Agreed with this guy. a 60% board means I'm not wasting a ton of space, the things I use are actually close together and more comfortable to reach. Plus, I hate having a keyboard where close to half of it is total waste. I did, however, just order a separate mechanical 10 key that I can plug in when needed

Mar 18, 2014 · The keyboard layout with the 10-key pad has been around longer than mice have been in common use. Also, people that learn to use a 10-key by touch generally learn with their right hand. That's two good reasons whey the keypad is on the right side of the keyboard.

If you want to stick with a standard keyboard layout, then anything tenkeyless and mechanical is a good starting point. From there let your preferences decide. Any improvement of one keyboard over another is negligible. Find something you like to look at, you like the feel of, and that has a reputation for durability.
