If your vehicle has remote functions that require a Guardian subscription, the dealer should have setup an account using your email address when the vehicle was purchased.

From the app, I can set drive alerts and monitor the car in real time. If it's stolen, then once I submit a police report Guardian should work with the police to recover my vehicle. Some insurance companies might give a small discount knowing you have Guardian, but I haven't had any luck with that. And yes, they usually have great promotions.
