Nov 26, 2024 · Original Atari 7800, Atari 5200, ColecoVision, Vectrex, Sega Master System, and most Sega Genesis NTSC consoles all contain a start-up/bios screen which has wait times ranging from 5 (7800) to 12 (ColecoVision) seconds. Some people may be nitpicking and possibly forgetting or overlooking this fact, if they are complaining about load times.

Oct 15, 2024 · The labels will feature the same metallic purple background as our Atari 7800 game boxes. For now, we’ll be using standard off-the-shelf cartridge shells, but the plan is to eventually move to custom cartridges if we continue with successful 7800 releases.

Dec 22, 2024 · After that the 7800+ would not get past the Atari splash screen and I had to reflash the Bios. Wanted to post here so that someone in the know could relay to Atari as I'm sure we (plus other person here) are not the only ones that will hit this issue. To emphasize again - there is no problem with the update process. That is what saved my machine.

Aug 27, 2024 · Are they any advantages of having 7800+ if I already have 2600+? - I can still use wireless controllers. - I hope all the cartridges will always be available for both. - Actually I like the look of 2600 more than 7800. I am not very much fond of 80s esthetics.
