May 1, 2016 · There is a difference between thin skin and Acrogeria (hands and other features which look old). In thin skin, it means that veins and even sometimes organs are visible in the thin or transparent skin while Acrogeria presents with visible veins but also wrinkled surfaces. While both are seen in those with EDS, neither are exclusive to EDS.

Sep 7, 2013 · It is to do with premature ageing of the skin, it is related to Progeria but not as progressive and as far I am aware it only affects the skin. You might want your GP to clarify if it is Acrogeria it sounds like it because transparent skin is weird to have.
