Aug 29, 2018 · Now it will not work unless the charger is attached, and the battery does not appear to be charging. Last night when I plugged it in it showed 34%, same as this morning. I checked the charger and it is definitely plugged in. Also, when I unplugged the charger from the outlet, the screen immediately went blank and the unit turned off.

Jul 21, 2018 · Sounds like debris on/around the port of the Surface Pro 4. Look closely with a light. Blow any sediment it out. Don't use a toothpick. Dab isopropyl alcohol, lightly. Look for metallic fibers or shavings (the port tends to magnetize).

The problem i have is that my surface is not charging my battery says "connected but not charging" and as soon as i unplug the charger my surface turns off.
