Sep 24, 2024 · UPDATE, 9/25 — Sheriff Ed Lester identified the inmate who died from apparent self-inflicted wounds at the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center as 61-year-old Kevin Plubell of Butte. Plubell was found unconscious and severely injured in a holding cell at the detention center on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024. He later died at St. James HealthCare.
