This morning, Your LAFD assisted Burbank Fire Department with a litter basket operation to rescue an adult male patient with a serious leg injury, trapped on the river bed. These types of technical rescues require clear communications at each level - the aerial ladder operator, the safety officer, the firefighters performing patient care and rigging.
